WELCOME TO THE WATERING HOLE

A stress-free place to gather and share whatever is on your mind! A fun place of mutual respect where you can hang your hat, vent, relax and shoot the bull for a while!

Happy Easter to all who celebrate that faith.

To all others, Happy Spring!

Easter symbolizes a new beginning, so it is fitting that TWH has a new beginning as well!
Along with RFC, TWH has been remodeled!

Actually, it can be anything you imagine it to be!

I am happy to announce that due to the increased bandwidth of the new RFC, there is no longer a need for the weekly closing and re-opening of TWH!!! After 10+ years of weekly "flipping" we now get to keep the doors open continuously! My sincere thanks to our moderators, especially Sophia, for making this possible!

I would also like to thank all the members who have kept this boat afloat for so long! We have become like family here, and now have a permanent residence! (y) While we have many long-time members who have been enjoying the company found in this amazing virtual bar, we also welcome all new folks. Jump right in! The first drink is always on the house and Veterans always have an open bar!
Al The Infidel (Tubby Slayer extraordinaire) is the bar manager.

So, let's get this re-opening celebration going! Set 'em up, Al! Drinks all around!!!

I suppose it comes with the territory of getting older (or it should), to have learned something positive, from any negative impact our words or actions have had on others throughout our (my) life. Lord knows, I have a lot to make up for, and to be grateful for.

Looks like you're getting close to cranking the motor up again. Hope it works out great.

Good find. AL refers to My USAF service as being a 'Wingnut'. He's right about that of course.

Funny this furniture company had a short lived program on the discovery chanell called wingnuts.

I'm packed for the range tomorrow.

I'm bringing my Dan Wesson 715 with a six inch VH barrel installed.

For a rifle, I'm bringing an AR with a Rise 3# trigger, A2 style rifle length Stock, and the LuthAir Keymod upper.

I'll be shooting targets over a chronograph most of the day. Notebook and a pencil are in the range bag.

It should be a good day. I'm thinking of leaving before rush hour traffic to get their early.

I'm geauxing alone. I'll be playing with the chronograph. I've got forty rounds of .38 to chrono. 50 rounds of .45 acp, and some 5.56.
I'll likely spend more time taking notes than shooting. All part of reloading.

Hi Gang!

Work went well today.
The old 1960 jeep passed inspection, and is good to go for another two years! (y)
I'll be heading out to eat with a buddy in about 30 minutes. I'm thinking veal parm tonight. I've been real good this week so a smidgeon of pasta isn't too bad of a cheat.

It is time to get cranking on garden prep. I am tearing down all the beds and will go with board-less humps of a custom design instead. The entire area will be deeply tilled, fertilized, and shaped. A lot of work, but it is time for a change. Also, the boards that made up the walls of all the raised beds have been there for about 5 years and they have some serious rot going on!

I really enjoy your funny memes Boiler Jack! :)

If you'd mount a 1919 on that Jeep, it'd be guaranteed to pass inspection.

The only snow around here and hopefully is Over till next fall/winter, In on the top 1/4 of Mt Graham. It mut be really deep up there. Today the high Temp topped out at 80f. The US Forest Service will NOT open the road to Riggs Lake until sometime in May.

Just got back (to my house) from taking the Ex to the Eye Doc, for her cataract surgery. Took her to back to her house (about 4mi as the crow flies), She calls my cell phone before I get 3 blocks from her and says she doesn't have any adhesive tape to change the patch. So off to the closest store that has Med Supplies, got her some tape and me some too for my back-up supply. She handed me a Tupperware container with Ragu (Honest to God Italian) Sauce (they call it gravy). My Ex is True blood Italian, born & raised. Her Family is still over there. And TTL, I'm still her family here.

I have a TON of my family in this area. But She is Still Family, as far as I'm concerned.
