Easter symbolizes a new beginning, so it is fitting that TWH has a new beginning as well!
Along with RFC, TWH has been remodeled!
Actually, it can be anything you imagine it to be!
I am happy to announce that due to the increased bandwidth of the new RFC, there is no longer a need for the weekly closing and re-opening of TWH!!! After 10+ years of weekly "flipping" we now get to keep the doors open continuously! My sincere thanks to our moderators, especially Sophia, for making this possible!
I would also like to thank all the members who have kept this boat afloat for so long! We have become like family here, and now have a permanent residence!
While we have many long-time members who have been enjoying the company found in this amazing virtual bar, we also welcome all new folks. Jump right in! The first drink is always on the house and Veterans always have an open bar!Al The Infidel (Tubby Slayer extraordinaire) is the bar manager.
So, let's get this re-opening celebration going! Set 'em up, Al! Drinks all around!!!

Now Easter Sunday was a right good day, today is lookin' pretty rainy...
Shopping today for milk and leftover Easter candy
Went down to the river. Pix were taken, planes and goosies being the most predominant.
No eagles but we saw our first osprey of the season. That makes two different parks now we've been lucky enough to see 'em.
Ordered another camera... It's been a year or so since the last one
Used, excellent condition, Nikon D810. Got it for 1/3 the cost of a new camera...
Thankfully I've got lenses & other stuff.

It's raining now (since 10:00AM) didn't get much done outside.
We made do with just a little shopping.
I got word that newest camera has shipped. Expect that in a week...
It's always fun to get new stuff.
Tomorrow is lookin' pretty nasty too. If the weather is against us, I'll shoot (photos or pellets) in the man-cave.

38 spring like degrees here and it's mostly not raining...
I think we'll go to a park and see what we can see.
We beat the raindrops yesterday for a little bit down at the south park.
Didn't take any pictures to speak of, just nice to get out of the house.
When it stops snowing in the Cascades I'd like to go looking for old barns. They make great photo-ops.

Nice, Al ...
Went down to the river, saw 7 eagles... WOW!
Saw two Caspian terns. The first this year.
We were in this place, out on the dock with a bitter wind.
Looking north at the Olympic mountains (merely 65 miles away).
Makes a good backdrop for photos when we can see 'em...

That's a wet river otter and the other pic is an Anna's hummingbird, most common here in the PNW.
I must have been within 25 feet from the otter, I got off 10-12 shots before he went back in the creek.
Even closer for the hummer...
Some days you get lucky..

It's 42 degrees out on this Donut Friday, not raining and that's a good thing...
We'll go to the river and see what we can see.
The newest camera is due tomorrow. It's somewhere between Colorado and Portland, fingers crossed for an early delivery
I've already got lenses and tripod mount and other stuff.
This will be a landscape rig, just for fun...

FedEx has a delivery to be delivered today, have to sign for it
Of course that means no goin' down to the park till delivery is made. Oh, well...
Maybe I'll leave Mrs. Cow here to sign for things and go shopping. The Mexican market has some deals on
produce and meat. Might be worth a look..

FedEx delivered my camera around 1PM (instead of 4-5 PM like usual)...
I've got some learnin' to do.
Just got back from a close-in park (with another camera), pleasant place, worth having a look.
I will be deep inside the owner's manual on the new camera for a couple days till I get it figured out.
It's still a Nikon though (like my others). It shouldn't be all that hard...

Early start (for us) and we're czeching out the nests at the heron hatchery.
There have been babies sighted in other nearby towns.
It gets us outa the house and gives us something constructive to do,
I'm rather thankful for that...

Wet, 49 degrees, other than that it's rather a good day.
So far we've had only one beautiful day all month, with a lot of rain in it's various forms.
Springtime... you betcha!
I've been deep inside the manual of arms on the new camera, a few more tweaks to be had.
Overall this is fun. I've disabled the self-destruct button.
Waiting for a break in the weather to go play...

41 degrees, cloudy but no rain... yet!
Been looking at pretty places for a photo-shoot. (Close-in places)
So far 2 waterfalls and a lighthouse. Several marinas around here also.
Couple of good (non-rainy) days, I'll be on the hunt
Getting there is half the fun...
