Maybe some kind soul will help me. How do you quote content in a post, and how do you edit your own post? Thanks
JN,

To quote a specific post, click reply in that post on the bottom left and a reply box with that post opens up.

If you just want to quote part of a post, highlight it and then click on it.

To edit your post, click on the three dots on the upper right hand corner. A menu opens up and you can select edit.

JN,

When I highlighted this line in my previous post, it immediately gave me the option to "+ or reply. I clicked reply which let me type this post.

If you click "+ which is the multi quote symbol. You can click on the "+ symbol in numerous post and they will show up to be posted in the reply box.

Multi quoted the above, then there is a section below the reply area that says something like insert quote. Click on that to inset the multi quotes.

Hope I haven't confused you further. Ask if you need more help.

Hope all are doing well.

Home from spending the day with my daughters and their families. Saw and held my newest grandsonwho is a bit over 6 weeks old for the first time. Colored eggs and had an egg hunt with the other grand kids. We played outside, went for a walk, played at the park. Oldest grandson is starting to get the hang of riding his first bike with training wheels. Can't keep up with him. Tired from playing so much and the nearly 4 hours driving today. Traffic was fast, but mostly behaved except for one inpatient zipper that decided it was OK to pass on the right then tried to occupy the same lane space I moved into after I passed the same car properly on the left. I put a pox on him.

Good night.

Snot in the forecast overnight and tomorrow.

Not much happening here and nothing new and exciting to report.

More snot fell today and upon melting resulted in standing water again in the super saturated back yard. Need winter weather to give up it's grasp.

38°A, feels like 32°. Sunny with NNW winds @ 8mph. Yesterday's snotfall has melted. Lows tonight near freezing tonight before a bit of a warmup for a few days. Unfortunately the warm will come with significant more rain. Then return to day time highs in the 40s and overnight lows again in the 30s. Wish we could string together some sunny days in the 50s or 60s with no rain for about a week or 10 days so things could dry out a bit. Where is spring?

I'm going to build a flag "pole" like my dad's to mount on my house, I'm thinking here...
View attachment 300222

I've never had luck with that kind of mount. Eventually wind drag on the flags causes too much movement of the bracket and the fasteners begin wallowing out the holes in the wood. Leverage and all that. Maybe not an issue if there isn't much wind where you live.

Something I've seen work better, though not as attractive, is a two point attachment. The base of the staff on the wall below the fascia and a second supporting bracket on the fascia.

Thanks.

I'll make a custom bracket, I'll try to remember to get a picture.

I have a bracket similar to the one below mounted on the porch post. Had to take my flag in as the bracket worked loose. The head of one of the mounting screws broke off and the the other two screws appear to have backed out or loosened up a bit from wind action over a few years. I think there is enough of the broken screw to pinch with a vise grip and turn it out. Need to get some beefier headed screws to remount the holder. Might have to get a new mounting bracket, or drill out the holes in the present one for bigger screws. I use stainless screws so as no to have rust stains.

So I shouldn’t lose sleep dreaming of taking it for a slow speed spin ehh? Slow crashes are the worst as you don’t skid much just thump.
A few summers ago I took my eldest brothers mini bike for a spin with one of his souped up kart engines mounted. Didn’t crash it when the throttle stuck wide open but was about pushing the kill button through the handlebar. Something about having a souped up clone engine putting out around 30hp that just didn’t jive well with 12” tires.

Guy around here likes to build stuff. A few years back he put about a 5HP Briggs and Straton engine on an adult trike bicycle. Then he mounted a small aircraft propeller on the engine. He put a steel wire cage around the prop from an industrial fan for a guard. That thing would move. Not sure how fast it would go, and I doubt he new either. He did say he had to back off the throttle as it got quite sketchy and squirrely before he ran out of throttle.

This guy also built a hemi powered motorcycle. He also built a twin hemi powered car that would be at some of the shows in the area. Some one once asked him how much it cost. He said he had all the receipts, but was afraid to add it all up.

I'm looking at diesel heaters for the truck right now.

I have the Schwinn tricycle I bought for my Mother so many years ago.
I used to ride it, a bit.
I thought about putting a battery, solar panel, charge controller and an electric motor on it.

You should do that Don, sounds like fun.

My bud liked my Honda Trail-90 so much he bought it when I moved up to a 180cc.
Al, did your Trail 90 have the low range lever on the transmission? What 180cc did you move up to?

Wish I could find an old Trail 90.

Heat wave @ 50°A. Cloudy with rain to begin shortly again. South winds 9-15 mph. Weasels say 70s on Saturday, but rain today, Friday, Sunday, and Monday as temps slip back into the 40s during the day and lows in the 30s overnight. Tired of the wet and cool temperatures.
