WELCOME TO THE WATERING HOLE

A stress-free place to gather and share whatever is on your mind! A fun place of mutual respect where you can hang your hat, vent, relax and shoot the bull for a while!

Happy Easter to all who celebrate that faith.

To all others, Happy Spring!

Easter symbolizes a new beginning, so it is fitting that TWH has a new beginning as well!
Along with RFC, TWH has been remodeled!

Actually, it can be anything you imagine it to be!

I am happy to announce that due to the increased bandwidth of the new RFC, there is no longer a need for the weekly closing and re-opening of TWH!!! After 10+ years of weekly "flipping" we now get to keep the doors open continuously! My sincere thanks to our moderators, especially Sophia, for making this possible!

I would also like to thank all the members who have kept this boat afloat for so long! We have become like family here, and now have a permanent residence!

While we have many long-time members who have been enjoying the company found in this amazing virtual bar, we also welcome all new folks. Jump right in! The first drink is always on the house and Veterans always have an open bar!
Al The Infidel (Tubby Slayer extraordinaire) is the bar manager.

So, let's get this re-opening celebration going! Set 'em up, Al! Drinks all around!!!

I stood in the middle of a group of penguins in the Falkland Islands in 2000, for Birds, they can be nasty.

At about 7 am this morning, I was walking past the sliding glass door to the deck, I looked out to see about 20 Tubbys on my deck, milling about with bad intent, all I could think of was, “What Would Al The Tubby Slayer Do?? I came back 5 minutes later and they had gone out into the backyard. I think they were laying ground work for an invasion.

I might be suffering from the RFC version of DTs, I did not shoot today. I went on the Chinese Buffet run, went to Harbor Freight, bought nothing, went to LGS #3, bought the last 10 boxes of Blazers for $3/box, at LGS #2, looked at another Savage Mk II FV-SR, left it there, I can’t buy them all., LGS #1, was packed, will go later. My milling machine parts arrived and the rebuild kit for my small air compressor arrived. Bought Ajax The Cat a cat up mouse. Trying to decide on supper, leftover pizza, egg rolls, poor man’s veal parm or cereal . Maybe get to shoot in the morning.

A guy I know, rebuilt a Ford Bronco, after all of the metal repairs, the inside and inside of the body were sprayed with a super heavy coat of truck liner

Sabrina said, AWE!!! and thank you for the birthday wishes. They didn’t catch any fish and the weather turned nasty, so we headed back to her parents house for lunch. After that she and her mom did some watercolor painting together. Fitting with mother’s day being tomorrow.

Time for comfy clothes and holding Spencer. I can tell the cats both are glad we’re home.

NYS has “emission testing” as part of the annual vehicle inspection, what it means for us is if the check engine light is off, then the emissions are good. I had actual tailpipe testing in Wisconsin.

I slept like crap last night, got up went out to watch the IPL cricket match from India, sat in the recliner about 7 am, asleep by 7:10 am, I slept until almost 10 am, I sleep better in the recliner than I do the bed

Oldest grandson is unhappy with me, I sent him to the store to buy some some frozen pizzas. I gave him a picture of what I wanted, very particular, no olives, single type of cheese. He goes and comes back with a different brand, different type, with olives and 4 different kinds of cheese and a thick bread like crust. I asked him about what I sent him for, he said yes they had them, but these looked better. I handed him the 4 frozen pizza and said enjoy, he stood there perplexed, mumbled some kind of apology and went home with 4 pizza and about $30 in the hole.
