Well folks, I harvested 200 plugs of zoysia grass from my dad's yard this morning and planted them in my yard this evening. Probably harvest some more tomorrow to be planted here at home tomorrow evening.

As for tonight...it's DX time! I'm camped out in front of my ICOM...

Yes, I've been battling grass establishment for 22yrs. Our house was a spec house, so the builder & real estate agent who partnered in the construction & sold it to us put as lil of "their" money into it as possible. While grading the once forested lot, they pushed all of my topsoil into a stump pile on backside of the lot.

I've added ton(s) of lime over the years...

Yes, this spot is near tree(s) that are water grabbers...

Bride, our youngest spawn and meself went on a chilly wet kayak float along 3mi of the Slate River in Buckingham VA y'day ...water temp was 52°A and air temp was 55. We all got out with cold wet arse cheeks ...

We were with a group viewing 3 old flash locks on the river ...I bought a book about them...
