WELCOME TO THE WATERING HOLE

A stress-free place to gather and share whatever is on your mind! A fun place of mutual respect where you can hang your hat, vent, relax and shoot the bull for a while!

Happy Easter to all who celebrate that faith.

To all others, Happy Spring!

Easter symbolizes a new beginning, so it is fitting that TWH has a new beginning as well!
Along with RFC, TWH has been remodeled!

Actually, it can be anything you imagine it to be!

I am happy to announce that due to the increased bandwidth of the new RFC, there is no longer a need for the weekly closing and re-opening of TWH!!! After 10+ years of weekly "flipping" we now get to keep the doors open continuously! My sincere thanks to our moderators, especially Sophia, for making this possible!

I would also like to thank all the members who have kept this boat afloat for so long! We have become like family here, and now have a permanent residence! (y) While we have many long-time members who have been enjoying the company found in this amazing virtual bar, we also welcome all new folks. Jump right in! The first drink is always on the house and Veterans always have an open bar!
Al The Infidel (Tubby Slayer extraordinaire) is the bar manager.

So, let's get this re-opening celebration going! Set 'em up, Al! Drinks all around!!!

Non union low voltage sub work.

Can you show what a Union low voltage work would look?
Having been a Teamster’s and ALPA member years ago, I have no use or respect for unions.

From a union low voltage sub I worked with in the past. Not cheap.

That does look nice.
Almost as nice as Flys' cockpit.

Way nicer.
Aviation is 10-15 years behind the automotive industry in the nice cockpit department.

We had G3000 in that miserable excuse for an airplane the Honda Jet it was sorta the only redeeming quality of the airplane
I left the 45 program before they started difference training on the 75, so I never used the Garmin system.
Been using the ProLine 21 for the last 10 years.
Do you think I should start a bad bumper sticker jail thread?
Absolutely

Beware of splash-less or drip less "bleach". It isn't bleach.
This is true.
If you had only one day to tour around Inverness, what would you see/do?
It's pretty common, Well drilling is hard work.

People are getting lazier though it seems. We need at least two crews, one to drill a one to do pump repair work.
We just can't get anyone past the training stages...
I tried that for one day.
Being an Army guy at the time, I didn’t find the work overly exhausting. I did find the guys doing the work to be the biggest aholes I had ever met.

Edit.
Instead of teaching what I needed to know, the berated me for what I didn’t know.

Why can't people just talk English these days?.....

Even metrical would be better - it's like using MilRads instead of MOA. MOA have a basis in ease - at 25 yards, 1 MOA is 0.25", near enough. It just makes sense...
Exactly.
Inches or tenths of inches is great.
Points is stupid as a rain measurement.
(I have transitioned to MRAD though)
I am praying there is someone like me still working when I turn into a pineapple in sixteen years
9 years, 9 months for me.

I slept like crap last night, got up went out to watch the IPL cricket match from India, sat in the recliner about 7 am, asleep by 7:10 am, I slept until almost 10 am, I sleep better in the recliner than I do the bed
That’s what good recliner can do for you.
