And I couldn’t be happier with the look, feel, and quality of this rifle.
So the guy I bought it off of is an old benchrest shooter… lucky me, heres why
He told me he never had time to figure out what ammo it likes.
Upon putting the borescope in it I don’t think its ever seen a pill down the pipe. It’s as bright, shiny, and perfect as can be.
The action locks up so nice, like a good quality, close tolerance .22 should. Slide it shut, and clu, clunk… locked and ready to rock. I haven’t been this excited about a new gun in a long time.
The safety is so crisp and positive it just says, yep I’m ready for business.
Now the crem-del-a-crem…
The trigger, I think he reworked or did some kind of trigger mod. It’s gonna be a hunting gun, and so for hunting I like a nice crisp, 2’ish pounds… it can be a tick lighter.
I pulled the trigger the first time at the shop, and it was love. It felt a tick light so I tried it again and really milked it, and I got the slightest creap, and it clicked off.
So I got it home, cleaned it up, mounted the scope and put my trigger weights on it, and it clicks off before the full 2#’s is on it so it’s probably around1.5# or so… I’ll leave it till I shoot it a bit.
Anyway… first impression on this thing is very positive. Can’t wait to shoot it.
If it shoots as good as it looks and feels, I’ll be looking to hunt down one in 17HMR.
So here she is folks.
