Welp, after 5-6 months of wait time, the Howas have finally arrived, I picked them up at 5 pm. They are a Howa M1100, 18” barrel, 22LR, synthetic OD stock, came with 2, 10 shot mags.

I got them all set up with my usual open/iron sight configuration. Depending on the predicted, anticipated or expect 6-8” of snow on Saturday, I’m planning a range day, the initial test out the Howas, the CZ 457 Varimint MTR, and the final test outing of the Savage B22 Precision #3. So 4 rifles, it will be a full day.

Hi Boiler
I see your from CNY , Im in Jamesville
Got my M1100 3 weeks ago. Got all the feeding and jamming problems filed , honed and polished. Put the stock on the Mill and trimmed to relieve the side tension on the barrel. Did the Krylon 4 color job with matte clear coat. Everything is done except it does not shoot.... 1.75" @50 , 4"@100 . I'm new to this .22LR venue. Im ready to take it down to Apulia Station and have Jim cut me a barrel for it. He has my new Kimber 6.5 now and is turning me a 16" pencil barrel for the ADK. Maybe you can help me out with the ammo. Im shooting the Golden bucket and after reading all the RFC posts Im thinking I should just get Eley. Is it normal to have the poor , inconsistent and ugly groups out of the bucket ? Funniest thing is the groups @ 50y are to the left 1+" and at 100y they are to the right 1.5".......? I put a brand new Burris 6x20 on it. Torqued mounts and lapped. Sure could use some help learning this 22 venue....

I wish I could be more help, but as a bullseye shooter at 50 feet and 25 yards, with open/iron sights, using mini-mags, not much of what I do pertains to the shooting your attempting. I rarely shoot the RGBs, my grandkids, plink it away by the buckets. I usually shoot CCI mini-mags, AR Tactical, the Clean 22 HV and both the Aguila red or blue box ammo. While not top flyte ammo, works for what I’m using it for.
