Terminal energy at longer range

503 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Titan
I have been trying out .22LR HV at 150-175 yd.
(At these distances there is still enough adjustment in my scope turret to get on target.)

Out of interest I set up a 2l milk jug filled with water - this was split open quite convincingly by one shot .(Eley HVHP)

I didn't have a chrono with me to check the energy at this range. Has anyone checked energy between 150 - 200 yds, or know of any published data for the main brands of .22LR HV?

Thanks

From Federal's website, both of their 38gr HP's have 75 ft/lbs @ 150yrds.
Their 36gr HP's have 70
CCI's data only goes to 100yrds :(
So does Remington's :(:(

Thank you for data.

I wonder if anyone has 'risked' their chrono at 200yd?
