Thanks for suggestions so far. Won't have much time for stops on Santa Fe to San Antonio leg; was wondering if much in the El Paso area - looks like not much reason to stop. Will probably stick to Albuquerque area, maybe some time in San Antonio and possibly Austin areas, to cruise gun shops (after I "reluctantly" convince with my wife that she shouldn't feel guilty about leaving me on my own while she enjoys a day at the spa in Santa Fe).
