What are the pros and cons of a wooden, laminated, and synthetic stock? I called Rob at Boyd and he said all his stocks are laminated. Awesome!!! Can't wait to receive my baster and ross.

Wood.... more susceptable (sp?) to moisture and "dings and dammits" Also more prone to compress in arond the takedown screw from use.

Laminate.. more resistant to moisture, dings and compression but still has some of the "personality" of wood.

Full synthetic... impervious to moisture and dings.. depending on manufacturer can be more or less rigid than wood. "cold and impersonal"
