Can anyone save me some time and trouble? I have a Mk IV Martini, and I want to make an aluminium (aluminum to you!) skeleton butt, to which I can attach an adjustable butt plate and cheek-piece. Does anyone know the angle at which the butt retaining bolt attaches to the action?

Someone one this forum must have measured this before now.

I'll post the pictures when the stock is finished.

Many thanks

No, Tim, I visit a few forums on a regular basis, including Stirton.com, Benchrest Central Rimfire Board, and Pilk Guns' Target Talk among others.

Isn't technology wonderful?

I have had the Mk IV for a while, but shooting it prone, my cheek doesn't touch the cheekpiece, so it doesn't come out of the cabinet very often.

I want to make the butt section more like my Gemini stock.

I suppose i'm here too!

I'd be quite interested to see the results, I've often wondered if something like this could be done.

good luck with the project
