What the heck did I find?

Found this in a shop today:

Single shot Stevens (maybe Savage, but I don't recall 100%), lever actuated, chambered for .25 Stevens brown patina on the finish, wood used but not abused, SN N45X.

I did a search and found 3 threads on the .25 Stevens cartridge and the supply seems to be slim to none. I did a search in my Numrich catalogue and the Stevens Single Shot/Savage Mdl 71/72/74 seem to be the same type, but are only listed as .22LR.

They're asking $150 for it, but I'm wondering if it's even worth fooling with?

I did some more research tonight (with the Blue Book and Shooter's Bible [IIRC] at Barnes and Noble ) and it does indeed appear to be a Favorite.

After that I went to the GPC catalogue and found the .22LR bbl. This one is missing the buttplate, but I'll look for another source before ordering the whole shootin match from GPC.

I'll see iffn I can talk him down tomorrow...
