I would like to hear your ideas if there might be somthing you would be interested in.
Did some testing on them today. I'll post a video later. I'll keep you updated with my testing. (ADDED VIDEO)

What kind of scope is that and who did the tactical bolt knob?

The scope is a Tasco world class plus.

I reconfigured the back attachment so the target can be either just set up to be knocked down, you could hang it from a chain, you could mount it on a stick or you could use a hose clamp to attach it to a post or tree. I'll post some pics later today.

Target prices

Okay, about got the prices figured out. I will post some pics with the prices this week.

I can tell you now that the small man (6"x3 7/8") will be $20.00 each plus shipping ($12.00 USPS flat rate box) I think I can fit about 24 in a box. If you get 10 or more the shipping will be free. If you need a base they will be $25.00 (they will also fit in the flat rate box). These targets can be either just set up to be knocked down, you could hang it from a chain, you could mount it on a stick (1"x2") or you could use a hose clamp to attach it to a post or tree. I will not offer the small man with the side head piece (not enough room to attach it properly) I am going to try to make the small man with a 1" hole in the chest. We will see how that works out.

The large man (11 1/2"x7") will be $30.00 with no hole in chest flapper or head piece. $40.00 for either the hole in chest flapper or the head piece . And $50.00 for both the chest flapper and the head piece.

I'll get some more pics and videos posted soon.

Remember these are made of 1/4" A36 (mild steel) and are for .22 rimfire only.

Brother and I volunteered to RO the match- We're camping at the range. I'm too poor to shoot the match, so figured I'd lend a hand. Should be a lot of fun though. (be more fun to shoot it!)

Looking forward to seeing those targets. After seeing your other targets, I'm sure these are top notch!

Cool targets. Unfortunately my range has significant restriction on how we can shoot steel plates. Bench or standing only. So true prone shooting is not allowed! Too much of a fear of low angle shots hitting the dirt and ricocheting over the back berm. My range is in the middle of a urban area and now has buildings around us on 3 of the 4 sides. 90 acres in the middle of Research Triangle Park here in NC.

I still may pick up one of each from you soon. How do you think those mild steel targets would stand up to 17 hmr rounds?

New Video

This is a new video I did today. Shot at 35 yards.

I don't have any problem with shooting at human silhouettes but I have visions of a RF version of the classic silhouette game (chicken, pig. turkey ram) using a variety of positions rather than all standing. It might start standing at 25 yd. with head shots at squirrels, and end with prone shots at 100 yd. at prairie dogs. Target size would need to be adjusted to make difficult shots at each range because you wouldn't want speed to be an important a factor. You want the precision of the more stable shooting positions to be important.

The squirrel target could be a post with squirrel head targets that extended from the back like the critter was looking around the tree trunk. Hitting the head would swing it back indicating a hit. Prairie dog or "gopher" targets could just be knock down targets.

Feel free to take this Idea and run with it if it sounds interesting to you, but keep me in the loop as I may come up with more ideas and would like to see what happens.
