Nice pistol, but it isn't anywhere near 98% condition. I think that it is under 90% at best. If you look at the breech face and the muzzle there is significant wear. It is still a nice pistol and worth the selling price.

Those grips look awfully nice for a seventy year old pistol as well... it could have had a facelift at some point.

Woodsman grips

Those are not original grips. They were made for the military for a fuller grip than the original grips for target shooting. Gun Parts Corp (Numrich) sold them for $14.95 per pair till about 1997, when they ran out. I bought a few for replacement's for my woodsman's. They go for several times the original cost on fleabay.

The Series I models do look nice with that plastic grip option. Appears to be all original...and a nice addition to someone's arsenal

Talk about job satisfaction for the Colt employees who produced these old models! Looking at that forged steel artistry, I wonder how many man-hours went into the production of each Woodsman pistol?
