Chief, I can say without a doubt that Andrew has shot the .17 Aguila. He sent me a pic. of a group he shot also I talked with a man from Centurion Ord. today and he told me that he had been talking to Andrew about the .17 for some time and that he had sent him two boxes of ammo for testing.
I have drilled and relined an older .22 bolt action with a .17 liner and plan to chamber it tomorrow for the .17 aguila. Unlike Andrew I'll have to wait until the ammo hits the market to test mine.:(

I'll post my results as soon as I get some ammo, which looks like Aug. I chambered, and crowned my rifle last sat. so it's ready to test. It doesn't look like much but I don't want to spend the time rebluing it until I know that it's going to perform.

If you are refering to my World Record , ( target ) , You already

have your wires crossed .It was a "" 100 "" yard shot of

5 rounds . not at 20yds , not at 200 yds !

It was recorded , scored and shot at a sanctioned USBR . match.

VERIFIED BY 3 offical judges , Scored USBR-SDT officials.

Thanks for jumping in .

Oh , Have you seen any of the Aguila 17 Ammo. ?
I thought not ! ROFLMAO
BWAHAahhaaaa . Still no 17 Aguila on the shelf.

Chief Says : Its a Volquartsen 10-17HMR . Barrel has had
extensive work done to it , Cyronoized, Moly treated bore.
Chamber trued, recrowned, and more.
Stock is a McMillan BR-50 , Full float, w dual tuners.
Scope = old 10x40x50 Tasco mil-dot.

I can say only one thing bad about the gun .
It " shoots better than I can ."

CD.

Chief, congradulations on the great target! Also glad to see someone besides the NBRSA is shooting groups.Went to the USBR site but couldn't find any details on their group shoots.

Do they have seperate weight classes, scope restrictions, require moving backers etc?

I used to shoot a lot of NBRSA rimfire matches, but very few clubs have rimfire group shoots anymore.

At alot of the scheduled Sanction USBR events , there is an
open class ( wildcat type rimfire ) .
Not a competition class , just a trial ( sporting ) event.
Registered shooters can have their entries scored , "judged"
as just a test target.
Alot of different classes "yrds" have scope limitations "power"
gun weight , magazine or single shot, ect.

Kinda reminds me of drag racing . You may have the baddest , fastest car out there. But unless you are registered , qualified,
in the circuit, winning wont mean nothin.
You know " like point standings" at the end of the season.

Know what you mean C.D., we used to shoot a lot of groups after the old BR-50 matches.Seems like I always shot my best groups while playing around.I think my best at 50 yrds. was a .058" with a Ans. 54 sporter.
