Went to the range today to try a new Simmons Blazer 8-32x44 model 800523. UGHHHHH!

At every shot it gave off a twang sound. Click-clack, TWANGGGG!!!!!
Clicka-clack TWANGGGGGGGGGG!! (would also twang when running bolt hard manually)

Put hand around bell of AO, twang was reduced.

Came home, put on a cheapie Tasco, ran the bolt hard, no twang.

This Simmons is going out the door.

After reading all the high regards of the 800116, I went and ordered one from Natchez.

Shoulda done a bit more homework on this 800523 Chinese made junk pile.

Just put yer hearing protectors on, or shoot next to a big bore. You won't hear a thing.......Sorry bout the bad luck! JL
