Does anyone use a Simmons 44 Mag scope on a Ruger 77/22 Varmint?

Did you have to get high rings?

The catalog says medium rings go to 42mm but I was hoping maybe you could still get a 44 on them

You will need "High" as a minimum, and possibly even "Extra High" for the 44 Mag scope:

"Simmons" 44 Mag [1047]: 6.5-20X 44mm AO, 1/4 MOA = 54mm AO bell diameter.

"Simmons" 44 Mag [1048]: 6.5-20X 44mm AO, 1/8 MOA = 60mm AO bell diameter.

The 2002 "Ruger" printed catalog states: [for K77/22 Varmint]
"Medium" : 42mm scope objective diameter* [supplied]
"High" : 52mm scope objective diameter*
"Extra High" : 62mm scope objective diameter*

* Are they referring to the "lens" diameter, or the outside of the objective bell.....? ?

Better CALL and ASK....! !

They will exchange rings, but ONLY if they are unused....! !
