I was out of town and stopped at a gun shop. He had a Simmons 2x7x32 scope for $75.00. It was very clear, I would like to buy one for a .22. Any ideas what the scope was?
But it sounds like you could do a hell of a lot better for that much money. Check out the optics section, you will find all the info you need, or swfa.com
Most probably the scope you were shown was a "Simmons" 2 - 7X 32mm 'Prohunter' #7700, which is an inexpensive centerfire scope; it would have given you problems with parallax, as it is focused for 100 to 150 yards...! !
You can do better....! !
