Simmon 22 Mag vs. 22Mag A/O vs. Weaver rimfire

Ok.

Three way dance.

I need a new scope for a 77/17. I am wanting to get HUNTING optics. So the High magnification is out. I need opinions on the following.

1) Simmons 22 MAG 3-9X32

2) Simmons 22 MAG 3-9X32 A/O

3) Weaver 2-7 Rimfire

Also would like to know the current country of manufacture of the scopes.

I have a 22Mag in 3-9 and am happy with it, but the smaller Weaver is something I would like to know more about.

Anybody got opinions on it?

I have a 22 mag 3-9 (non AO) and a Weaver 2.5-7. I prefer the Weaver.

i have the simmons 3x9 with ao 22 mag scope and love it.this is a very nice and clear scope and very repeatable.don

I would spend MY money on the weaver. I had a Simmons 22mag and it was a good scope for the money, but I have looked thru the weaver and it is REAL nice (I just wish it was a 3-9 and not a 2-7).

Got the Simmons non/ao on my wife's 10/22, it seems to work just fine, but in all fairness my Weaver is much brighter, but it is also not the 2X7 rimfire scope either.

Hey ern !

I have one each of the scopes you are looking at.

IMO, the Weaver is the best......Clearer, sharper all the way out to the edge. Also, the Weaver I have does not change POI at different power settings.
