Savage 3-8x33mm Scope???

I am looking for some info on a scope. I recently acquired a Savage 3-8x33mm scope. I did not know that Savage ever put their name on a scope.

The markings on the side are:

SAVAGE-SUWA
JAPAN
MODEL 3833
3-8x33 <SL>

Any info on this scope would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Wow, I am like you. I have never heard or seen a savage stamped scope.

Well, I guess I should have done this from the start. So...here are some pics. This scope is probably nothing special, but it did peak my curiousity.

you have a scope off a combo gun i had a sav 110 with the same set up the scope i think is a tasco......it mite be off a old combo gun :t

I got a Savage 4x33 Made in Japan.Not bad,but the 4X is more like a 2X.

Savage sold a line of scopes from 1963-1972. The 3833 was added in 1964.
