I have considered the same the original front sight on my 4 inch was too high I filed mine down for a POI of 25 yards
that's before I ordered an adjustable sight slide from Smith & Wesson I still have the old blue fixed slide in my parts bin. I only wish I had kept the 2206 and the 2214.
Great design and the magazines are still made due to the 41 which uses the same mags, the early ones could be taken apart but not the new ones. do you have any 12 round mags?

You can take apart the the mags, just lift the spring up, I just use a hook to do it then if you want you can drill an 1/8" hole all the way though the baseplate to lift the pin. just follow the top hole.

fella I found, makes 12rd followers for the mags as well. works perfect.

I love my 422 6"

You can buy an adapter the puts a standard 1/2 28 thread on the Barrel.. they are all threaded for the flush bushing/Nut at the end and the adapter just replaces the bushing/nut, he sells a tool for this as well. 30.00 with shipping for the adpt.

Nice guy, answers emails himself.

says he will have the firing pins back in stock around Jan... they don't break like org.

Howdy Podner,
I checked his site NO 12 round followers. I only have one made by S&W.
Sure would be nice to get a second one.
Thanks,

According to his notice which is confusing quote".
. NOTE THAT THIS FOLLOWER WILL WORK IN VINTAGE METAL FOLLOWER MAGAZINES BUT WILL NOT INCREASE THE NUMBER OF ROUNDS THAT CAN BE LOADED IN A VINTAGE METAL FOLLOWER MAGAZINE
Guess that's not gonna work for me I want the 12 rounds.
Thanks for trying.

If you use the OLD metal follower mags, (model 41) it stays 10 rounds, if you use the newer mags from the 80s on ( all 41 422,622 etal came with the plastic follower mags from at least 86 on) that have the black Plastic follower, they are then 12 rd when changed out.

You can buy new mags for under 30.00 shipped and swap the followers if you want.

OK I have three mags that need 12, all my mags safe one, the floor plate is removable all the others are the new non removable but I remember that the one with removable floor plate was one I modded from a fixed one.
It's been a long time since I did that can't remember how I did it.

Reach inside the mag though the slot and hook a spring coil near the lower end and lift up, this will lift the lower plug with the pin in it, Now you can pull forward on the tab of the baseplate, you might need a pliers the 1st time, tape with elect tape if you don't want a scratch on the tab. then just drill though with a 1/8" bit though the top metal hole though the base plate. If they don't have hole they are Definitely the new mags that will take his follower

Ok I'll give it a go sometime.
