okay, b.b. guys. i have a 22 mag and understand most of you have a 22lr, but this may be pertinent to both calibers. my "russian girlfriend" has a hard time with winchester ammo; ONLY winchesters, 34 hp, 40 solids. sometimes, actually a lot of times, FTF, FTE. chamber too tight ?? win brass too thick ??

wondered if anyone else has the same prob, 22lr OR mag with wins.

thanks all.

hoosierJ,

i have a brick+ of win ammo and when it is functioning right, it shoots very well. just
cant figure out this win ammo and the problems. example; with a clean chamber will eject fine for about 20 rounds, then stops ejecting. never experienced anything like this. think the B.B has a "match" chamber, but only has a prob with wins. go figure.

thanks for your response.

pdwight, yea, i dont baby this girfriend of mine. but, she just dont like win ammo??

BTW, how often, or how many rounds do you guys clean, run a patch thru, etc, to upkeep accuracy? understand the mag may be a bit diff, and am in the process of taking her to the back yard and try some ammo. she loves these outings, lol.

thanks all.

pdwight,

am thinking of "grinding down the bolt hold down pin , but am not sure as to how much to take off. some off the top, some off the bottom? removing the scope is getting old, and has to be re-zeroed everytime. anyone who uses a scope thought about this ??

btw, was shooting the girlfriend out in the backyard today, wind died down and was getting good groups with cci maxi mags, better than preciously thought federal 40 gr fmj. she seems to favor 40 grainers in the blunt nose style bullet, at least to 25 yds.

am still wondering if a "warm" bbl works better for accuracy, or ??

thanks all.

well, just so i dont get into a war here, it IS legal here, in the country. should take a pic or two of my backyard 25 / 50 yard range, up to a 100. was going out to a buddies' where i set up back-stops, but with the gas prices, decided to set up my own
and can shoot whenever the wind is not blowing too hard. winter is almost here and wanna shoot as much as i can before i need to use the heavy jackets, etc.
