Russian Optics

Hi River Ratt: My youngest son is in the Navy, stationed in Europe. He collects military stuff and is somewhat familiar with German and Russian optics. He sent me the following which tells quite a bit about Russian optics. It looks, by the way, that there is a company near you that is a dealer for Russian optics. Hope this helps you out. See the following:

Dad,
The following link will tell you a little bit about russian optics.
http://www.gek.org/whygood.htm

Additionally, this other link will show the binoculars made in russia which
are a copy of the DEKAREM 8x30 model made by CARL ZEISS, JENA.

CARL ZEISS, JENA denotes east german manufacture...ZEISS alone stands for
west german.

Hope this helps, matt
