I realize this has been asked many times, but I can't find nothing in the forums. I got a stainless MK II and need to put a scope mount on. I need to know the best setup. More than likely I probably just drill it to put the mount Ruger uses on it's target (Gov't?) MK II's. Any advise would be greatly appreciated, 'cuz the iron sights ain't worth crap, they keep movin'.

Thanks,

Rob

Check out Rimfire Sports and Custom (www.rimfiresports.com), one of our sponsers,. They have at least three solid scope mounts that do not require drilling. Some people swear by the SoLows. Hope this helps.

A little LocTite might solve your iron site woes if you want to go that route. It worked for me.

You will either have to drill n tap the rcvr or remove the rear sight and use a SoLow mount. The cost difference between a gunsmith installed weaver rail (including d & t) and the SoLow are a wash. SoLow and an UltraDot are a very good combo.
