I just got the rifle basix trigger for my 17V and wanted to know what most people felt was a safe trigger pull weight. I use it for both plinking and crows. I can already tell after installing the trigger that it makes a huge difference. Right now it is set at just under 3 lbs. and I have only tried it using dummy rounds.

Hunting and Plinking Trigger Pull

I set mine at 2.8#. That's what my Anschutz came with and I think that's just right for hunting and plinking.

If you like it just under 3#, the rifle safety works well, and it doesn't go off when bumped, then I would stick with that pull.
