Thanks Larry. That’s what I think I’ll use if I go the unfinished route. I’m going with the pro varmint model. I’m going to call Boyd’s next week to discuss and help me make the decision between finished and unfinished.

Richards Microfit question
I’m thinking of going with a Richards Microfit stock in a mid grade of walnut for one of my 10/22’s. I was going to have them install the 1/2” butt pad.
Having never done this before, do you sand the pad down with the wood. How are the sides of the pad final finished?
