Hello folks,

I am in need of a replacement seer spring. Do any of you folks have one that you would be willing to part with?

I recently bought a used 597 SS. Previous owner botched up a trigger job. Hammer doesn't reset right. Factory hammer stoned incorrectly too. (Got new one coming. Many thanks to AnchorageAk!). Further teardown to see what else was going on revealed a cut and crushed sear spring.

Don't have one, but I did the adjustable sear routine in the sticky, and used a spring from a 100 pack of assorted springs from Lowe's--whole thing went about $4.00. Try just the spring (one that's close or cut one down) and see.
Wanna buy 99 springs

Do a drop test afterwards though!

I have an old 597 trigger housing box that is broken. Still has all the parts in it. PM me your address and I will pull the sear spring for you.
