I have a Rem. 788. The barrel has PA 18 stamped on it, which letters and numbers do I use to figure out year and month??

PA 18 =

P = 6 [June]
A = 1954 or 1980
18 = assembler's mark

As the 788 was only manufactured from 1967 to 1983, your rifle was made in June of 1980......! !
