Can anyone tell me about the remington 504 in 17m2. It's a beautiful gun but does it shoot?

I bought one a few weeks ago. I haven't tried for the smallest group yet but it is shooting somewhere under inch groups at 100m. Perfect conditions 7X scope and no modifications. That was with the factory setting on the trigger. Have adjusted the trigger - see advice from others in Remington section. Also look up anything said by 'Picher'.
The adjusted trigger is great and will post a reply when I actually get around to trying it out for small groups. I was sighting it in and it seemed to shoot exactly where the scope told it to be after each adjustment so I got distracted and went of hunting.
Am very happy with mine.
