I have been looking at these sights, but don't know if they will be blocked out with the scope rail still installed. It looks like I can mount a scope around the location of the rear sight when it is installed though.

I can't seem to find any specific information about these sights.

Also, I noticed these have a dove tail for the front sight. Does anyone know if the front sight mounting area like mine still retains the dove tail underneath?

I looked at the link's you posted, I have my scope mounted to one of those already. I don't mind using the stock sight locations, as long as I can be quick, and accurate with them. I do prefer a longer sight picture though, so a rear sight mounted or integrated on the pic mount would be fine. The issue that I have seen so far is that I haven't seen any fold down rest sights that either go on, or are integrated with the pic mount that will clear the rear of the scope. I don't want to have a scope that sits a "mile" above the centerline of the bore, causing me to goose neck.

On my ar's, I use Troy HK battle sights that fold, front and rear. They hold a true co-witness with my T-2, and my scopes. Do they make such sights for the TD.22?

It will be hard to use the barrel mounted sights with any rail IMO

No one makes flip up sights for the 10/22 to be used with a scope similar to your ar you will find that rail mounted rear sight will still raise the scope mount to the high position.

You could change over to a AR chassis and use the same exact setup that is used on your AR.

there are other options but using correct scope rings and a adjustable cheek riser can get you a nice setup.

other options to consider would be ditch/sell the scope buy a trs25 or PA and use tech sights or nodak sights to co witness.

The nodak rear rail works well with the amega arms scout rail if you are into scout scopes.

swap to AR and set it up to mimic your real AR im sure there are options

there is pictures of these and links in this thread

the lowest railed peeps would be the factory rail that comes on series 2 or the older DCW they work on a TD but you must remove the rear sight blade. this will work with low-med mounts but you will have to source it from ebay or forums they are not sold publicly

the nest would be the williams ace in the hole with it lowered to the lowest position
this will work with low-med mounts

then would be the true shot
this will work with low-med mounts

then nodak and tech sights
this will work with high-extra high mounts .560 minimum

You will find there are many differences in between them and you will have to weigh the pros and cons against each other. My biggest concern was adjust ability in the field.

This may be worth a creative thought?

I suppose you could also try and file a dovetail into the rail you have and use a factory flip rear sight "like pictured from midway" and see if it would clear the bottom of your scope tube, im sure a gunsmith could file a dovetail for a few $ and then a taller front sight would be needed.

Looking at the barrel mounted sight you have it may even work under the scope tube after it was fitted.

If you want to try wit a factory flip sight place a add im sure someone has dozens of them laying around they are replaced and thrown away alot, mine was destroyed during removal or i would offer it.

Great information guys, and plenty of reading as well. Thank you.

So far, if I go with a rail and a rear sight built in, it will be the Williams, unfortunately, I have not seen a rail mounted rear sight that has either tritium or fiber optic in them. However, I like the idea of the rail you posted wagon. Would you be able to take a picture from the rear of the rifle, lining up the sights, and also give he information on the iron sights?

Tactical, those sights are from Ruger factory . My TD is plain Jane Stainless on synthetic stock. Standard non-bull barrel.

I see that you have a more fancy sights, mine are those basic 10/22 sights. My old eyes can't see clear beyond 15 yds, I only shoot with scope nowadays.

Some - such as myself - prefer the scope to sit as low / close to the bore as possible . But each of his own.

Here's one of my other rifles and I like the setup the most :

(BTW, 10/22 does not have a dovetail rail )

You need see thru rifle scope rings. Don't need the adapter rail.

I think 45 man was referring to the factory rail it can accept the dovetail style see thru mounts and they raise the scope .740 plus the rail.

wagon can you measure the inside channel of that rail so i can compare it to the UTG one i have?
