Real Lucky Kid

470 Views 4 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  gn luver
I was working last night at the gunstore, when a kid came in with a Mod 75. He got it for free from a guy from his church... the gun looked in real decent shape... and just needed a clean up and to be shot... I hope he makes it on here... I gave him the webaddy...

Sorry had to vent(in a good way)... I wish there was someone who would have given me guns when I was younger... :t

Funny how we all still have unmet needs from childhood that evoke feelings of jealousy, for all you know the nice man in church could be a child molester
That's kind of an uncharitable way of looking at a nice gesture by one church member to another (and I'm not especially religious). If more adults took more time to mentor kids there wouldn't be so many messed up ones on the street.

Could not agree more. One of the most satisfying experiences I have had was takeing the son of a single mom to the range. Not having kids of my own made the experience even more rewarding for me. He was not so fond of the "BIG BORE"stuff I brought, but he LOVED the .22,s. I am sure neither of us will forget that day. Brian.

I can't think of a better way to spend quality time with your sons than in the fields hunting or just out plinking with the old .22s.Both of my sons still talk about the many mornings we would leave before dawn stop and have pancakes, bacon and eggs be in the fields when the sun came up to hunt pheasants in Western Nebraska. Its an experience you never forget when they bring down there first ringneck.(gn luver) Max W.
