I have had a Leica LRF1200 and now have the Leupold Windriver 800 binocs. Both are great, but I like the Leupold better for what I do (varmint hunt). The leica was a great unit but is a monocular and I use binocs anyway to scout out p dogs.
For the best value I would recomend the Nikons. Look around on the used market and you can get something there resonable. The Leicas seem to be made of gold and hold thier value very well (bought mine for 412.00 and sold them 1 1/2 years later for 400.00).
