I've had a Nikon 400 for a couple of years and I'm totally satisfied with it. It has 1/2 yard accuracy to 100 yards, scan mode, long battery life, and a nice bright display. The new models are a 440 and they are priced around $200 most places I checked.
I bought a Bushnell first and it had a short in the switch that drained the battery. I sent it back and got the Nikon.
