Good point greenzx9r, as the slots have served well for years as long as the proper screwdriver is used and kept maintained. In my case over the years I have found that most quality scope rings(Badger)and action screws/bolts went to hex. I believe that if you know if your hex is inch or metric and you have a collection of good brand wrenches they are superior as long as the hex is clean/degreased. I use a torque wrench to achieve the same tightness every time.
