I see that the Taurus pump 22 mag (M72) has been discontinued. I have the chance to buy one "right", but if they've been pulled because they're blowing up in shooter's hands, I need to look elsewhere.
Interesting, haven't heard that, I need to check in to it. My son has one that he puts a LOT of rounds through. So far it has been trouble free and he still has both of HIS hands.
No... they are good shooters. Can't mount a scope on em though. I think you can mount a peep site. A 22 mag w/o a scope is a waste of fire power IMHO. But...if you aren't among the visually challenged they are pretty nice.
Sales and trends determine product line decisions...maybe
They've discontinued the 22mag Tracker also...probably poor sales.
They're coming out, eventually, with a lever action carbine chambered in 32 H&R. Why? It could be that CAS is very popular right now and they see a market niche to be filled. Not every product will be a hit forever and like the 9422, if the sales aren't there...
I could be waaaaay wrong, but it's just my .02.
