PWS appears to use an iron or manganese phosphate finish. It is matte. It is fairly dark. FWIW, it matches NoDak Spud's .920" front sight almost exactly.

Ruger receiver finishes have varied too much over the years to give you a fair answer. If you want 2 things to match, refinish one or both so that they match.

Mine is a tack driver, and I think rather good looking, it's not a "match", but blends in well enough for me. If you're looking for pretty, this isn't it.
