Did you clean the bore and chamber of the preservative before you started shooting it? That stuff can be nasty and really ball up the works sometimes..

No, I cannot feed a round into the chamber with my finger. The slug is too large for the chamber. This is with ANY brand of ammo, match or not, I have tried almost a dozen brands since yesterday.REDTIP17 said:QUESTION: Can you feed a round straight into the chamber with your finger with the bolt locked open. If not then clean the chamber real good. If you can look to make sure the bottom edge of the chamber is not razor sharp. Let us know what you find.
The barrel is marked as a 22LR but that could be a mistake. I will call VQ tomorrow and see what info I can get.REDTIP17 said:This is not by any chance a Ruger 22 magnum you have is it.
My advice is to call VQ and talk to Scott or Nic and tell them what you are running into. It sounds like you have an extremely tight chamber. The Magazine may be dragging due to the barrel being too deep in the receiver. I'm curious if you've gotten a bad barrel or a shallow chamber. I definately would not touch the barrel as far as modifing until I talked to Volquartsen.
Volquartsen>> 1-712-792-4238, Scott ext 11 or Nic ext 14.
I have called and left a message for NIC. Hopefully, they will have a solution.Plinker said:Contact VQ about the problem.
Sounds like something is wrong with the chamber and they should make it right.
Barrels that cost that much should
work and work right.
That is what I am saying. I am shipping the rifle to them on Monday. So far, their CS support is EXCELLENT!marksman1022 said:txgixer,That is customer service!!!!!You read it from Scott himself, just send them the gun and VQ will get it up n going at no charge.Im sure when it returns you will have an extremly accurate totally reliable 1022.cant beat that with a stick.
