Last year was the first that I had a membership to a local range. Got my scope sighted in dead on. Went out for the first time this year today and using the same ammo from the same box that I finished using last year the scope is a tad bit off. I did not remove the stock or do any other work on it over the winter. So is it normal for the POI to shift after not being used all winter?

Lots of factors could cause that. The scope could have been bumped at sometime over the winter. The tempature and humdity difference from when it was sighted in and now could cause a small change in POI. And any wind difference from then to now could be the cause also. Its not uncommon to have to fine tune a scope after its been put up for a while.
