Would someone be so kind as to whip out some calipers and measure the diameter of their stock 10/22 barrel at the muzzle and at the sides of the front sight ring ?

I would really appreciate it!:t

Well, your just in luck as I am currently removing my stock barrel for a brand spankin new GM 18" SS "heavy" (thanks Ken!!)...

Let me measure...

Muzzle is .554
The "ring" if I understand you correctly is: .616

These are measurements on *MY* barrel.

YMMV, maybe.
