What is the optimum barrel length for a .22LR shooting subsonic rounds?

I know that 16" extracts peak velocity figures from the .22LR high-velocity cartridge, because after 16"+ the rifling simply starts to slow down the bullet.

why would you want the most velocity from a subsonic round? i would assume you wanted it to be well under the speed of sound anyway if you are buying subsonic ammo.

but besides that, i would think that less than 16'' would be ideal for optimum velocity (since 16'' is optimum for a HV round) but then you have to make it a SBR and pay the tax.
