With that being said. I LOVE my Kidd 18" bull and my next build will be with a Kidd as well.

Do these have a match chamber?

That's the one, mine shoots so good I wouldn't consider something else. At 25 yards it's the same hole, at 100 I'm well under MOA .

I have the 18-inch Kidd stainless steel match grade. I love it. It's 3lbs 3oz. The other alternative is the Kidd Match SS with Aluminum Sleeve. It weights in at 2 lbs.... that would be my next barrel in my next life time.... lol

Hi All,
I'm on the last step of a build and would like some opinions/advice on the two barrels I have it narrowed down to. My gun started life as a 10/22 Deluxe Sporter 22" bbl (Wally World special). I've since sent it to Randy at CPC for a full trigger, bolt and barrel job and I've also fully bedded the action. The gun shoots great and I have no complaints. I'm looking to get a new barrel because I have a suppressor coming and the sporter barrel I have now can't be threaded. So, after a lot of research, internet mostly, I've narrowed my choices to a Kidd 18" fluted bull (.920) barrel or a Green Mountain 17" heavy taper sporter (.920 tapered to .700) barrel. My main goals are accuracy and consistency (i.e., no flyers or cold bore flyers , etc.). I know barrels have been discussed in the past but I'd like to know the current thoughts and opinions. I appreciate any advice, opinions or recommendations that anyone here can offer to me. Thanks for the help.

I thought I'd done some good work in free floating the gray ghost (Pic below) but to my surprise I discovered that the rear mounting patch at the rear of the receiver was undersized and the action was moving like a balance beam over the one action mounting screw.
Today I bedded the rear of the action with some Devcon to stabilize it and put some spacer in the front to maintain the barrel floated and centered. I may put another small pressure spot just ahed of the Vclamp for the barrel. Part of my Teeter Totter action assembly was the portion of the Tactical Solutions barrel clamp which was proud of the receiver mounting surface near the action screw. Got that area relieved with some chisels.
Couldn't help but notice the same spot on the new Magpul stocks is slightly oversize and grips the back of the 1022 a good solid purchase.
I love Ruger products but occasionally the muck things up in a grand fashion. The mounting of the 1022 action being one example and the failure to make the Mini 14 AR magazine ready and instead substitute their troublesome hard to use magazine system on the gun.
