I like the Mueller scopes I have and think for the money they are a great value.
I have a Diamondback and the Argos on a couple of my rifles. Athlon is a nice scope but the Diamondback seems to have a little more forgiveness when it comes to eye relief so it seems a little more comfortable for me to shoot. The last T1x price i saw listed on any of the NRL22 paperwork was $499 which leaves you $700 for the scope. Even assuming they went up by $100 this year that leaves you $600 which is enough for something like the Bushnell Match Pro, the Athlon ARGOS BTR gen 2, or the Vortex diamondback Tactical. My choice was the Bushnell, but my 2nd choice would have been the Athlon as it was very nice as well.

JRT1X300SB: RF $851; LH $875
JRT1X300: RH $865; LH $895
JRT1X400SB: RH $861; LH $881

This is in the NRL22 rules. MSRP determined by the manufacturer/customer service, not from “street prices”.Someone posted this on reddit several days ago:

I don't have any reason to doubt the poster felt the information was accurate. However, it is interesting that online retailers/distributors still show $699, etc.
Yes, I'm well aware of that. My point is that distributors are citing MSRP as $699, while they're usually pretty quick to update that information. This is in the NRL22 rules. MSRP determined by the manufacturer/customer service, not from “street prices”.
When I compared the Arken to the Athlon and Bushnell it had a lot of features I really liked, but the chromatic abberation was so bad at higher powers I was having to look at the parallax adjustment and go with best guess on focus. I've heard a lot of people say it doesn't bother them as badly, but for me that was a no-go and took the Arken off the list of scopes I was considering. If you contemplate getting one, audition one first or buy from a dealer with a good return policy. I tried 3 before giving up as I had hoped it was a fluke when the first one did it.Arken EP5
There are some with ALL low/mid end of scopes but the better high end scopes will break the bank/saving account and is really not needed. I only crank it out when I am sighting in on the bench but when I do shoot in matches I rarely never ever go past 12x so this is a non issue IMO. Arken is better scope by far in it's price range. Bushnell is good to go if you can get one that's not on backorder. My favorite is Vortex Strike Eagle but it will put you into open class. If the shooter is really wanting to stay in base class then choices are not so much and is limiting itself. When I compared the Arken to the Athlon and Bushnell it had a lot of features I really liked, but the chromatic abberation was so bad at higher powers I was having to look at the parallax adjustment and go with best guess on focus.
