Just grabbed a brand new Nikon Prostaff EFR 3x9x40 for $165 including shipping. With the Nikon rebate, that's a $115 for a nice AO scope that would normally run about $180 without shipping! They have the 3x9x40 with BDC and the 4x32 all on sale as well. Go get them while the sale lasts!

It is even lower today. It is on sale for $146.52.
Is CalsSportingArmory on the approved list? I didn't see them. Also, keep in mind that for me shipping was $14.95 plus $3.66 handling charge....
We'll see if it works. Even if it doesn't, you're still getting it for around the price you'd get if you paid normal price and did the rebate (including all the shipping costs). Midway is expensive like that too.
Wow, the 4x32 would only be $38 if the rebate works. Almost free.

I called the 800 number listed on the Nikon Rebate Form and they said that CalsSportingArmory is an approved Nikon dealer, and that they would honor the rebate if it was purchased through them.
Black_Talon, you are awesome. Thank you for the clarification! Guess that gives everybody the green light. Go get your super cheap nikon prostaffs!
aww crap...I should have logged in 2 hrs ago....I just ordered one from elsewhere...oh well.

Cancel the order and order from Cals Sporting, usually pretty easy to cancel orders from any major website. That is an incredible price at Cals, will be under $100 after rebate for a really nice scope.

Thanks tedwin, just bought 2 of them, 1 for my 10/22 takedown and the other for my charger 10/22. Hope they are good scopes. I know very little about scopes though nikon usually has good stuff. good price after rebates.
Check the shipping charges on Cals Sporting, it may not be a great deal.

It was 165 bucks for me with shipping. That is still 25 cheaper than the scope WITHOUT shipping at most places. When you include the rebate (I got further confirmation from Cals today that it will work), the scope is 115. How is that not a great deal? For the 4x it's 45 bucks after rebate and the 3x9 BDC is 90 bucks after rebate. I'm failing to see how this isn't an incredible deal...
Just stoped into RFC looking for quality review on the new EFR 3-9, has anyone taken delivery on their Nikon order from Cals?
I found another supplier had them on backorder with expected delivery well after rebate expired (end of April I think for rebate).

Yes, Cals looks like a very good deal to me, however I just learned of this new scope today...how do they compare to the leupold 3-9 efr (other than the mega-bucks difference)?
Got my scope in yesterday. Looks like a nice piece. Now I just have to wait on the J&P 3/8'' to weaver adapters to be avail againand I can mount this beast. (well and I also have to figure out which height ring to get...hoping Medium)
In case anyone wants one, I just got an email from Cal's stating that they are back in stock.
I just ordered a couple.

For what it's worth, Cal's Sporting Armory charges a LOT for shipping, then adds a 'handling' charge on top of that, totaling $30 in my case.

Ouch. Mine was only 14 bucks including the handling fee. Got the scope yesterday. It's some pretty nice glass, well worth the $115 bucks I paid total for it. Very smooth controls.
I presume it's based on the total amount of the items purchased. They charged me $12 (plus $5.47) on a $150 order last year, so I wasn't totally shocked.

With the rebate, I am still coming out way ahead as opposed to Natchez Shooters Supply.
