New Martini International owner looking for replacement Left hand Stock

I am a brand new owner of a BSA Martini International Mk II here in Manitoba, Canada. From what I can tell, this rifle was built between 1954 and 1957. I have really enjoyed reading though the many posts on this site to educate myself with this beautiful rifle. The information provided gives me the confidence to work with this rifle. I know I will be reaching out as I learn more about this rifle to get questions hopefully answered by all the experienced owners on this site so in advance, thank you.

My first of many questions. I am left handed and of course my rifle is set up with the correct right handed stock with the raised cheek piece. Are there any members that may have a left handed rear stock available for sale? If not, any information as to where I may be able to track down a new or used old stock replacement? Here are a few pictures of my new mk II.

They CAN be found on EBay. A fellow “left winger… .”
Andy,
Thanks. I will keep a close eye on eBay. As a lefty yourself, do you have a true Left handed Martini International II?

Welcome to RFC!
These are great rifles and amazingly precise (sometimes called "accurate" ;)) shooters. If you are unable to find a factory LH stock, there are two options: take a rasp to your RH stock to make it LH friendly, or, if you're a moderately talented woodworker, these folks do a great job and are first rate to deal with.

Hey,

thanks for the info. We still have lots of snow on the ground down here in Manitoba at our outdoor range so itching for the warm weather to send a few down range in my new to me International II. I would really not want to alter the original stock sojust have to be patient. Have a great day.

Hey,

A quick update with respects to my search for a left handed rear stock for my International mk2. An elderly shooter from eastern Canada put me in touch with a friend that had custom built a flat profile rear stock for his Mk 2. He had his all original and just beautiful rear left handed stock he kindly sold to me. It’s a real beauty. Here are a couple Pics. The first is the gentleman’s new stock pictured with the original and the second couple are it on my rifle. I am Very pleased for sure. Thanks to all the members for the valuable information.
