would a Mueller 8.5-25×44AO Tactical on my Remington model 700 sps varmint .243 be a good match for shooting long distances? and would that scope hold up to the .243.

i bought the tactical 3 weeks ago for a .22 it is a very nice scope clear to the edges it's rated medium and should be ok for a .243 i have no need for the mil-dots with the .22 and i'm sure it's there for centerfire. i would not hesitate to try it.

Corey, call Rich at Mueller, and he will give you the straight scoop. I have that scope, and consider it a "best buy." Seems to be worth way more than the price.
