Is it really this easy to mount a new barrel? Only three screws? No threading & chambering? No need to open the bolt face? No barrel channel mods or custom crowning? I'm still very new to rimfire, but on all my other rifles more work was needed. Seems to good to be true.

you got it. Pull the barrel/action out of the stock. Take the two bolts on the "V" block off, remove old, on with the new.

be careful not to overtighten the "V" block bolts.

also, I change/adjust the barrel with the bolt out, no reason other than I do.

I believe it's 8in lbs. Big Mike just posted it a couple of days ago, either search for "torque" or he'll be by to answer this, and he'll probably give you the technical ways/reasons to mount the barrel. He's a guru :t
