Mossberg 144 LS

I recently acquired a Mossberg 144 LS with the Lyman peep site. I got it because I would like to try my hand at target shooting with a peep site. All my rimfire target rifles are scoped. This should be challenging. I was a bit disappointed that when I inspected the bore I found quite a bit of rust and some pitting. I am guessing it was not cleaned regularly probably due to having to remove the rear site to get the bolt out. I have been trying to get it out with some limited success. I am hopeful that the accuracy is unaffected. If someone who reads this post has a copy of the illustrated parts diagram for this rifle I would sure like to get an electronic copy. The rifle seems to be complete except for the rear swivel which is missing. I am looking for one if anyone has a spare. Still need to remove the stock so I can inspect the trigger and play around with adjusting the trigger pull. I would be interestedf in hearing from others who own and shoot this old rimfire rifle.

No promises but I MIGHT have a 144 series barrel in my hoard/spares. Will check for the barrel tonight.
Edited, I do not have any rear sling swivels.

I managed to move a lot of stuff and found I have an excellent 144LSB barrel minus the front sight. The LSB barrels are 1" longer than the 144,144LS and 144LSA barrels and are also 1/8" lager diameter.

The jury is still out on whether I can salvage the barrel currently on the 144LS I recently acquired. You indicated you have a LSB barrel that is in excellent shape. I thought mine was in good shape when I shined a bore light up the barrel, but when I later used my bore scope I found it to be far from good shape. Have you inspected the LSB barrel with a scope? Is it easily transferable to the LS and will the Lyman front sights fit correctly? If I opt for a barrel change I would much prefer going with an identical barrel to what I currently have, but assuming the barrel has no rust or pitting and works with my receiver and I decide a different barrel is warranted how much were you thinking you wanted for your barrel?
The bore looks pretty nice with a bore light,I do not have a bore scope.
My buddy whom I've been friends with 50+ years stopped by after I dug the barrel out and posted I'd found it and before your recent post and saw the barrel sitting out. He has an old 144 LSA we'd picked up cheap at my suggestion years ago that's cosmetically around 80% but is a good shooter. Several times when we were out shooting he had his rifle and I had my 6-24X scoped CZ 455 Varmint rifle with the 20" barrel out I explained a 24" or longer barrel isn't always needed for .22LR accuracy. We discussed 'bobbed' barrels like my 52C someone did a nice job removing 4" off the barrel and recrossing it and he's like to 'bob' his current barrel back to around 20" and asked if I'd hold the LSB barrel he saw for him incase he didn't like the way his rifle shot with the shortened barrel.
So now I'm kind of stuck between the two of you as your post of March 20 said you were probably going to stick with the barrel currently on your rifle and my friend and I discussed the barrel after my doctor's appointments later in the evening of March 21.
