Thanks!

There is at least 25 of us heading down there, maybe more. I expect it to be an inspiring journey to the home of Silhouette. From what I gather, they put on a great match down there!

It might take some getting use to new range commands.
Listo... Fuego... Got those figured out.

Anything beyond that I'll need a translator! 😁
Difficult to get your rifles down there?
Well, I haven't left yet, but so far only a little more paperwork: US Customs Form 4457 signed/stamped at a US CBP office and a permit on the Mexican side. We sent our rifle info to our contact down there and they got the permits emailed to us directly.

We'll see if there are any issues going through Mexican customs going down or American Customs on the way back.
Thank you for testing the travel details.
maybe next year.
Update... Other than getting equipment thoroughly inspected both when arriving in Mexico and again back in the States, no problem with getting the rifles there and back. The rifle permit on the Mexican side is a $250 fee, so factor that in to your travel budget.

The folks down there were fantastic... very friendly and genuine. They took very good care of us the whole time, from picking us up at the Monterey airport, to the on-site hotel, fed us all our meals, and showed us what an awesome silhouette match can be like. I'm truly happy to have gone down there for this experience and will be keeping an eye out for the dates of the next Monarch Cup.

My guess is final scores will eventually be posted on Lapua Monarch Cup

There were a lot of awards between the match winners, high animal count winners, and the final Monarch Cup awards. I took 2nd place Chicken count and 2nd place Pig count in AAA class. My shooting partner, Chris Cawthorne, took High Senior.
