Local dealer going out of business has one of each. He wants 170.00 for the 7000 and 225.00 for the 880. Would like to have one but can't decide on which, what do you guys think?? Would be greatful for any pros and/or cons. These are out the door prices by the way, thanks again,Brad :)

The $225 dollars for the 880SQ seems to be a little high. That seems to be a good price on the 7000. Now if he wanted the 170 for either gun, then the choice would come down to which action ou would want. You could make him a package deal (say 350 dollars for both) and see if he takes if.
Check the prices at Whittaker's guns. Then normally have a couple of 880SQ(s) listed. The last time I checked their prices, the 880SQ were listed under 200 dollars.

Getting a good trigger would be a lot easier for me on the bolt action 880. So , I would go with the 880 SQ. That is me , some others will surely favor the 7000. The last 880 SQ I seen was $219. I am still trying to decide myself what Marling to get next!

I just checked Whittaker's site. They have 2 used 880SQ (s) listed. 159 and 169. They have a new 7000 listed for 171 dollars. They have some good prices. I have done business with them before with no problems.
